INTERVIEW: Hayley + Nathan Maker of No Guts No Glory

No Guts No Glory is a shop, studio and gallery space, agency and awesome collective set up by Exeter creatives Nathan and Hayley Maker. These two not only possess a wealth of know-how and ever-flowing and inspiring ideas but also have a great story to tell. NGNG has recently become one of my favourite creative hubs and I love to talk about the great projects, workshops, products, publications and shows coming out of it. In fact, the highly covetable goodie bags at YGT’s latest event were filled with treats from the NGNG shop and collective and we also raffled off a…

We’ve begun 2017 by laying the foundations for ambitious plans and attending a host of uplifting creative events. This month, we’re attending London Fashion Weekend Festival 2017 at its brand new venue The Store, not for the purposes of staring starry-eyed at a runway of very lithe-looking ankles in very pointy-looking shoes, but to speak with and draw inspiration from like-minded and inspirational women. With tickets still available and the Fashion Weekend talks programme kicking off on 23rd February, we’ve picked out a…

Why You Should Visit We Built This City

A walk through central London usually proffers sightings of tourists, loads of them, walking gaily along in droves. While we jet down Oxford Street at light-speed or hare past our iconic department stores there are hordes of people who’ve come out especially to see these places and take away a few special memories. Usually, tourists pick up a little something to remind them of a trip to London, and usually these keepsakes are pure tat; see London bus fridge magnets and Union Jack selfie sticks. We’ve all seen our share of terrible souvenirs and generally, we tend to accept their…
